# Exporting Data

**Exporting saves Sheets, Pivot Tables, and Chart results to a file, so you can share them or use them outside OrcaSheets.**

## Export a tab

1. **Open** the Sheet or analysis tab you want to export.
2. **Click** the **Download** icon in the toolbar.
3. **Choose** an export format: CSV, plus other formats depending on the tab type.
4. **Choose** a save location.

## Common variations

- **Export filtered data**: apply filters first, then export, so only the rows you want end up in the file.
- **Export Pivot Tables or AI Chat results**: open the result tab, then export it the same way as any other Sheet.
- **Export Chart images**: use the Dashboard view to download Charts as images for reports or slides.

## Notes

- The available formats depend on the type of tab you are exporting (raw Sheet, Pivot Table, Chart, or Chat result).
- For sharing live, always-up-to-date views, use a Dashboard instead of a one-off export.
